CHALLENGE
The Childbirth Education Association of Metropolitan New York (CEA/MNY) offers workshops and resources on childbirth education, however they were finding their site and overall look had become antiquated. The site was hard to update and they wanted to transition to a platform that is easy to use, future proof, and had ticketing and e-commerce functionality all wrapped into one.

SOLUTION
After platform and functionality research, Amber and I worked alongside each other to give CEA/MNY an overhaul that was modern, user-friendly, and told a story.

Foundational Shapes
The use of strong round forms speaks to femininity and connects you with the belly, the visual center of pregnancy. The rectangular elements provides a foundation of trust and strength and speaks to a whole body and mind approach. An easy to implement visual system of shapes will accompany photography that speaks to the personal strength and journey of mothers and childbirth educators.
The color palette is modern, earthy, and inviting, supporting the soft yet sturdy look while providing interest and engaging the visitor on their journey through the site.
